The office is aggravating. Rainbows separate the darkening servant. A mistake dreams. Longingly, beautifully hidden, an autumn leaf skis. It gives a calf to a fence no longer addled with pain.
I always used to think work was the best (and worst) place to contemplate life..and alternatives..that little leaf provided you with a great thought and poem...
Excellent write :D

ReplyDeleteEach line a poem in itself. I think I understand each line but the last one. What is the "it"?
ReplyDeleteA mistake dreams... words that will haunt me for the rest of the day! Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteNice one ~
ReplyDeleteI wonder what leaves with that leaf...
ReplyDeleteI most like your title, and, next, "a mistake dreams."
ReplyDeleteWork day reveries may benefit from a view of nature. When I think of a leaf skiing on the wind, I also think of the Forrest Gump feather.
ReplyDeleteOddly like my dream last night.
ReplyDeleteKeeping away the pain, dreams have double value. I like the thought of a leaf, dreaming.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of a mistake dreaming...
ReplyDeleteThe title and the idea of a mistake dreaming...utterly thought-provoking and lovely.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting final two lines. As I don't think they ever learn enough not to have a fence without pain.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't make a lot of sense to me but clearly others differ.
