The llama is damaging beans
While a chocolate frog bruises.
Bitingly, arguably angry, a colt skis a la mode.
It gives a jellyfish to a coal mine, no longer beguiled by sails.
And shuns chairs of frantic estimates.
A computer generates poems.
Adieu.
Can a computer generate poems...could it bruise a chocolate frog or put a jelly fish in a coal mine.. i think that is fantastically and uniquely human... ;)
ReplyDeleteTricked you!
DeleteQuite an intriguing imagery in this poem :)
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a wonderful week!
Didn't read it, did you?
Deleteanything can happen these impossible days...a good one :)
ReplyDeleteHmm, did a computer generate this poem?
ReplyDeleteYep.
DeleteThere is a certain disjointed feel to this poem, which might suggest phrases linked together at random, as by some computer.
ReplyDeleteWell... that was excellent rubbish; and truly enjoyed going through it.

Interesting. Is this perhaps an experiment in seeing how people respond to random words presented as a poem? I do enjoy the assortment of images. This is Sherry.
ReplyDeleteThe intent was to show I would get the same responses for randomly compiled word-salad as I used to get when I wrote poems. And I did.
ReplyDeleteEverything here was created by a program drawing on a 4000 word list. I added punctuation.
That's sad.
DeleteThe problem is we are taught modern poetry should look and read like a random word salad. I very much dislike that style.
ReplyDeleteThis is sad - if even art such as poetry is computer generated. But I must admit, I enjoyed the randomness until the reveal. Adieu is a correct ending if computer generated poems will be a trend
